I am so excited for the new harry potter movie (being released November 21, 2008)!!! The teaser trailer just came out for it yesterday!!! This marks the beginning of when I watch every movie in order over the summer leading up to the new one. Yay!! WOOHOO, and if you’re a potter fan like me, I posted the link to the trailer, and if you refer to potter as Hairy Pothead, then BOO YOU and leave my blog thank you lol.

FINALLY, now that the gruelling school year is done, I finally have time to put down those textbooks (well except for the ones from my summer courses) and pick up some WONDERFUL READING yayyy!!!! I looked through the booklist provided by my library, and found William Bell, one of my favourite authors (okok I only read one of his books before–stones, and decided that I like his style!) and so I picked this one up. It was definitely a different story than the usual that took me through many twists and turns. At first I thought it would be another story about a troubled teen, but then it turns into a story of creepy (in)sanity, then war, then morals, and ohmygosh, you would have to read it to understand but definitely one of the best I’ve read in a long time. And as for mootwa–if you read the book, you will find out what it means soon enough

A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the present Seven Wonders of the World. Though there was some disagreement, the following got the most votes:

1. Egypt’s Great Pyramids

2. Taj Mahal

3. Grand Canyon

4. Panama Canal

5. Empire State Building

6. St. Peter’s Basilica

7. China’s Great Wall

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one quiet student hadn’t turned in her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The girl replied, “Yes, a little. I couldn’t quite make up my mind because there were so many.” The teacher said, “Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help. ” The girl hesitated, then read, “I think the Seven Wonders of the World are:

1. to touch

2. to taste

3. to see

4. to hear

She hesitated a little, and then added

5. to feel

6. to laugh

7. and To LOVE

The room was so full of silence you could have heard a pin drop. Those things we overlook as simple and “ordinary” are truly wondrous.
